Gulliver’s Travel in the Miniature World!!
I still remember when I visited this place and it was a very impressive experience. You can see various miniatures and most of them look amazing real. I would call this place a theme park featuring miniature versions of famous buildings from the world.
I suggest that you should visit this place during the night time after 5 pm, the ticket is a bit more expensive though. When it gets dark, they look much more beautiful under the lights. So it must be quite a romantic place if you have someone to bring. The Great Wall of China, Mount Kilimanjaro, Leaning Tower of Pisa, etc., you can see many realistic miniatures that you can recognize.
I can’t tell what this is but it must be famous somewhere. I love the way how it’s describing mountains in the back.
This one must be the Leaning Tower of Pisa from Italy. Does it look real to you?
This one looks very great because of its size and the architecture is from somewhere in Europe. It turned out it’s Sagrada Familia Church in Spain.
This one must be from Egypt. I guess that it’s the Great Pyramid, right?
Everyone would recognize this. Obviously it’s the White House.
I couldn’t tell what these are but have a look. They’re beautiful.

This Coffee Shop Is From Joseon Dynasty!(??)
Hanok means a traditional Korean house and they’re designed and built in the 14th century during the Joseon Dynasty. And there’s a coffee shop that is built in Hanok architecture in Seoul and I’d love to visit there very often.
This coffee shop is located in the entrance of Jingwan Temple and it’s in the middle of Eunpyeong Hanok Village. That’s probably why this coffee shop is designed that way. It is such a peaceful and quiet place there. And of course it’ll be a great idea if you bring someone here for your date.
This is what this coffee shop looks like. Looks very Korean-like and beautiful architecture.
Like I state above, this coffee shop is located in the entrance of the temple surrounded by mountains and there’s a Hanok Village nearby so you’re going to feel that the air is much cleaner with a great view provided.
I always had an Americano so I can’t say the most coffee is better than other coffee shops. But my wife said that she loved most of them better.
Below is some more information about this coffee shop.

Unaksan in Gapyeong
We made reservation just one day before and went to a pension for last weekend which was located in the Gapyeong area. We made no plans but set up everything and just went there. I was hoping that it could remind me of the time when I was on my honeymoon.
The pension we stayed at was in the middle of the mountains but I’m not very much for hiking so I didn’t try to hike there. Besides, it was freezing there. It was just meant to be for refreshing my body and mind and it actually worked. There was a spa bathtub inside, I better not show you the pictures though.
This place was like a town with many of pensions and hotels gathered on the mountain. You can see the sign of ‘Welcome’ and ‘Goodbye’.
The name of the mountain was ‘Unaksan’ and I could see many hikers visiting this place. It was a shame that the weather wasn’t very clear at that time.
There was a terrace in the front and we could see an outdoor Japanese style bathtub. But we didn’t use it because it was really cold and it was so opened out there.
Can you tell what this is? This one was a hut standing separately but privately and it was for Sauna. A sauna is like a small room designed to experience hot steam inside so you get sweaty to feel refreshed. Sadly, it wasn’t operational so we didn’t use it either.
Below is some more information about the place that we stayed.

Legendary Love Story, Ondal Cave!!
I still cherish the memories of visiting Danyang city in the Chungbuk Province because it was quite an impressive experience. You know, the temperatures in caves stay almost the same throughout the whole year so it’s cool in there during summer and it’s warm during winter. Danyang is a very peaceful city with most of its nature well preserved and Ondal Cave is the most popular one.
It is called Ondal Cave because it is under Ondal mountain fortress. It is estimated to have been created almost 450 million years ago and the total length of this cave is 899m. It’s a natural cave formed in the limestone zone. The average temperature of the cave maintains 14 degrees Celsius in summer and 16 degrees Celsius in winter, making it a perfect all year round attraction.
This is the angle of the entrance and it’s like entering a haunted house.
All you need to do is to go along the lane and it’s like moving on in a different world.
It’s always been a mystery to me how they’re created by flowing from the ceiling in a cave.
This is the angle on the way out and it’s like finally we’re getting out. But it was definitely a new experience.
This cave also has over 40 small ponds that are inhabited by a variety of living organisms like fish and insect. The annual Ondal Culture Festival is held every October in memory of the legendary love story between General Ondal and Princess Pyeonggang.
Below is some more information about this place.

The First Mountain to Visit in Korea, Seoraksan!!
Mt. Seorak or Seoraksan would be the first mountain that comes to mind for the most people in Korea. It is the 3rd highest mountain in South Korea and it is known as the most beautiful one especially during the autumn season. As you can see the pictures below, it is so colorful that you’re going to be overwhelmed when you see it for yourself.
Seoraksan is located in a national park near the city of Sokcho which is eastern South Korea and it is also considered the backbone of South Korea for this reason. The most popular route to see the view are the Ulsanbawi Rock Course, Cheongbuldong Valley and Baekdam Valley.
It looks like a colorful painting but this is a real photo of Seoraksan. No wonder this is the most popular mountain for hikers in Korea.
You can also experience the cable cars that can provide an amazing view from above and it’s absolutely worth trying since it’s also thrilling.
And of course this is not for the autumn season. You’re going to see that it’s still beautiful for other seasons and you can cool down visiting here during the summer time.
Seoraksan must always be one of the top places to visit in Korea so if you have a chance, please go visit there once while you’re in Korea. It was designated as Natural Monument No. 171 and as a national park on Mount Seorak. UNESCO also designated the area as a biosphere reserve. Yes, I can say that Seoraksan would be one of the most beautiful places to visit in Korea.
Below is some more information about it.

Man-made Islands in Seoul
Some Sevit or Sebitseom literally means 'three shining islands illuminating the Han River.' It is the world's first floating complex to have buildings on top of floating structures on water. It is a man-made culture complex near the southern end of the Banpo Bridge. The complex consists of various facilities with a great scenery of the Han River.
Some Sevit or Sebitseom is known to be a popular night scene in South Korea and has become a favorite filming spot for movies and dramas. The complex is used for many exhibitions, events and even performances. There are wedding halls, restaurants, buffets and cafes. It is a perfect spot for that special date or just to go there and hang out with a group of friends.

Jebudo, The Miracle of Moses
This is how they call it, the Miracle of Moses in Korean version. Jebudo is a small island located in Hwaseong City, the west coast in Korea and you can see a split road passage in the middle of the ocean twice a day for several hours due to tidal currents. That’s why they call it that way. Yes, it’ll be very new and strange when you see it with your own eyes. Before planning a trip here, you need to make sure to check the high tide timings.
Jebudo is not very far from Seoul or Incheon so it’s quite easy to get there. Driving a car should be better but it’s still possible to get there by public transportation. The locals used to earn a living by fishing and agriculture but now most of them work in the lodging business or service industry.
You can see a sign indicating the available times for the ‘parting of the sea’. So it’s very convenient.
This place is a seaside town so you can walk along the beach. Also you will realize that you’re standing in the middle of the mudflat.
The red highlighted part is the road of the sea parting. You have a lot of places to visit for fun such as a small amusement park on the island.
And this is the road of the sea parting and you can pass the way during the available times. Can you believe it? This road vanishes twice a day during the specific times.
I’ve been to Jebudo since I was a young boy because my parents used to enjoy visiting this place to enjoy seafood. It’s very close from Suwon which is the place of my childhood so I still feel familiar with Jebudo. If you want to take off from the city, this is no doubt a place for a new experience. Once again, be sure to check the sea parting schedule before you visit this place.

Café Sann? Café Mountatin?
I was recommended to visit this place which is called Café Sann and it’s located in Danyang city in Chungbuk Province. I looked it up and found out it’ll take more than 2 hours by car from Seoul. Besides it’s almost impossible to get there by public transportation. But it’s still very tempting because I was told that their breads are really really good. I love bread, it doesn’t matter what kind of bread, I just love bread. And this place was introduce on a TV show before so it’s such a hot place now.
I got some pictures of this place from my colleague and they look very nice. Sann is probably from the Korean word ‘산’, meaning ‘mountain’.
I can’t help it. I really gotta go to this place. They look soooo nice. Just take a look at that fully sticky cream cheese on the bread. How am I supposed to stand that? It’s gorgeous, my goodness.
I can feel the warm energy from these pictures. It must be the place for lovers mostly. If you have someone to drive you there, keep begging him or her.
As I mentioned above, it won’t be easy to get to this place without driving but if you still have a chance to go there, it will provide you beautiful memories and sceneries. I already have decided to go there soon. At least for their breads, yum..

Glamourous + Camping = Glamping
I didn’t know that term ‘Glamping’ until I went glamping myself. ‘Glamping’ is a newly coined word, combined with ‘Glamourous’ and ‘Camping’. If you already knew this, then you must be more adventurous than me, ha.
We had a chance to go glamping located in the Pocheon area during my last summer vacation. Everything is set there so you don’t have to set up a tent yourself or anything else. Basically there’s a huge tent installed on the ground and when you get in, you see the accommodation set up even a bathroom, a big size bed, a fridge, an AC and so on.
The entrance is tastefully laid out. You can see the glamping sites set up in a row. You should be careful not to get in the wrong one because they all look the same.
You don’t actually have to bring anything for camping because everything is already there. But the fee is more expensive than the normal camping fee.
If you pay some more, they provide food services as well as a barbeque set. You can eat Samgyupsal, sausages, shrimps, sweet potatoes and more for the barbeque menu and ramyeon and rice for breakfast.
This glampsite was set on the edge of the lake so it was quite a unique experience, feeling like floating on the water. Unfortunately, the weather was very bad. We had a stormy night on that day.
I got some more pictures from their blog with permission so you have a look how beautiful it is.
If you’re planning for a romantic trip with your girlfriend or a special trip with your friends, either should be fine. That was a very different experience compared to normal camping. It’s not easy to make a reservation during the peak season and it is very expensive. And be aware of the weather cast since it’s still a camping.
Below is the information if you’re interested in visiting this glamping place.
