One of the Best Places for Tourists in Seoul, N Seoul Tower!!
One of the best places in Seoul to take in a view of the beautiful city, N Seoul Tower offers a great view of the city. You can access by either cable car or by hiking the mountain, N Tower has a number of attractions such as restaurants, stores, and museums. A highlight for any visitor is likely to be the Locks of Love, where romantics hang padlocks to symbolize their devotion to one another and it’s a fun photo opportunity.
The N Seoul Tower officially the YTN Seoul Tower and commonly known as the Namsan Tower or Seoul Tower, is a communication and observation tower located on Namsan Mountain in central Seoul. At 236 meters, it makes the second highest point in Seoul. Many visitors ride the Namsan cable car up the Namsan Mountain, to walk to the tower. It attracts thousands of tourists and locals every year, especially during the night time when the tower lights up.
The tower should be very familiar to most of the Korean people because it’s been there for such a long time. During the daytime, it looks like a typical tower in a city.
You’ll see that the tower becomes something very beautiful and shiny at night. It is absolutely something at night.
You’re going to love this photo zone if you bring someone special next to you. It’s so pretty at night.
I strongly suggest that you should go visit their website below. You can get more information and recommendations about visiting this place.
At the top of the tower, you can also see the Lotte Tower which is quite far from the area.
In 2012, surveys conducted by Seoul City revealed foreign tourists ranked the N Seoul Tower as the number one tourist attraction. The N Seoul Tower is now also a symbol of Seoul. You can get some more information below about this place if you’re interested in visiting here.

Such A Beautiful Glass Artwork, Glass Castle in Jeju Island!!
Jeju Glass Castle is Korea’s first registered museum exclusively for glass and it’s established in 2008. They say “The museum reflects the gift of nature and clean environment of Jeju in the transparent and clean glass works.” You’ll see that it’s true since everything is made from shaped glass. You’ll experience more than whatever you can imagine. You can also experience ‘glass blowing’ which is a very traditional technique for making glass and it’s only available in Jeju.
The delicate collection is divided into indoor and outdoor sections, each with their own variety of delicate glasswork. The indoor sights include a towering green glass beanstalk in the center of the exhibition hall, a room full of mirrors where visitors can get lost in their infinite reflections, and even a glass bookshelf with glass books. The exterior garden features amazingly naturalistic figures such as a glass waterfall, glass flowerbeds, and a lake made of mirrors with fish.
You’ll get lost in the Magic Mirror Room. You can also see the Jack & the Beanstalk in the center of the hall.
Oh, these are Stone Harubangs, the famous Jeju guardian figures. And they’re made from glass, too. I like it.
They’re small Glass Town and Sea Story. Can you believe that they’re all made from glass? They’re very pretty and colorful.
Now you can see the Glass Gate with a huge wine glass. You can also see the beautiful Jewelry Falls with the huge wedding ring. This can be such a great spot for wedding proposal.
They’re called Glass Lake and Gold Glass Toad.
You can see many glass flowers and glass trees in the garden. There is also Magic Forest.
The Jeju Glass Castle Theme Park is such an attraction for the whole family. You can get some more information below about this place if you’re interested in visiting here.

Korean Actor’s Amusement Park! Doori Land!!
I was recently told that Doori Land had reopened only a few days ago and it’s a small amusement park run by the Korean veteran actor Im Chae-moo. Most Koreans would probably recognize him since he’s been acting for decades in Korea. I actually didn’t know that this amusement park existed and I was also surprised that Im Chae-moo is the owner of that park. So I did some digging and found some information about this small theme park.
Doori Land is located in Yangju City, Kyeonggi Province and it was established in 1990. Im Chae-moo spent about 13 billion won to build this park and he decided to run this park without taking admission. The park is about 9,900 square meters and had 10 rides including Viking and bumper cars. Now they charge 20,000 ~ 25,000 won for admission and 3,000 ~ 4,000 won is also charged to enjoy a ride. Hmm, that’s not cheap. Doori Land suspended operations for three years because of financial difficulty but it’s now being reopened.
This is the sign of the park. It has very childlike colors. You can also see the fare for rides.
Fun Clown? This one must be a ride for only young kids.
This ride is called ‘Spaceship’. Yeah, have fun flying!
You can obviously tell what this is. This one also looks like it’s for young juniors.
Oh, I used to love to ride Bumper Cars when I was brought to a theme park while I was still a kid.
Yes, this is what I expected. They have Viking at least. It looks like it’s designed for adults as well.
They also have a park inside. It seems very peaceful with grass and trees.
Honestly, I’m getting embarrassed since I started getting to know about this park. This theme park doesn’t seem to be right for couples or adults. It is designed for kids only, under 8 or so, I guess. I don’t know if I would have a chance to get there unless we have our own child. Sorry that I have to say this, ha. But if you’re still curious about this place, please look at the below for more information.

Enjoy Cheese Activities at Imsil Cheese Theme Park!!
Do you like cheese? And would you like to learn how to make cheese if you have a chance? And would you like to know more about Korea’s cheese history? Because my answers for them are all yes. When you go to this theme park that is called ‘Imsil Cheese Theme Park’, you’ll be able to get the answers for them and you can also enjoy foods made of cheese. The park has a few ‘cheese experience’ centers where you can make cheese, a milk processing factory, a local specialty shop, two restaurants and a science lab for making the best cheese.
This theme park is located in Imsil-gun, Jeollabuk-do which is almost 3 hours away from Seoul. The Imsil Cheese Theme Park was opened in 2004 and it’s like a cheese heaven where you can learn everything about cheese and they also have the Cheese Playland where you can play with goats and some other animals. You can stroll the walkways checking out the cheese-wheel buildings and various cartoon statues. I was told that Imsil became the mecca of cheese in Korea.
You can see a very big sign of the theme park at the parking lot. It is a cheese shape.
This is the map of the theme park. It’s a shame that they don’t provide other languages.
Some spots are filled and decorated with flowers even the bridge. I think it was in front of the cheese castle. That’s what they called it, ‘Cheese Castle’, ha.
This is the photo zone with cartoon figures. I couldn’t tell what kind of cartoons they’re from though. It must be better for young children.
This display is about the process of how to make cheese from milk. It was fun and very educational.
I was amazed by the model of this because it looked very real. He’s the Belgium priest who came to Imsil and started to make his own cheese. And that was the beginning of the Korea’s cheese history.
This is the Cheese Playland and you can have fun in here with feeding the goats, sliding the slides and watching flowers.
Below is some more information about this theme park if you’re interested in visiting this place.

Such a Unique Theme Park, Poopoo Land!!
Do you like poops? I mean, would it be funny to you if you have a chance to play with poops? Of course they’re not real, ha. If they’re real then it must be disgusting so don’t get me wrong. There is a small theme park in Insadong, Seoul that features a theme of poops and farts. Doesn’t it sound funny already? Here are ‘Ssari’ your friend and ‘Mari’ the pet toilet paper at this theme park. You and your friends can pose on matching toilets or see a display of many different kinds of toilet paper.
Regardless of their nationalities, age or gender, visitors will be sure to enjoy themselves taking selfies at ‘Poo Photo Zone’. This theme park offers, as you might have guessed, a photo zone with funny tricky eyes paintings and this could be the perfect place to have a fun experience and your phone is going to be full of funny and crazy shots. They also have a coffee shop and restaurant so you can enjoy delicious drinks in toilet shaped plates.
When you have a waiting line, you have to pick up your waiting ticket.
Funny already, haha. Hope that it’s not disturbing your feeling. Let’s take it as a joke.
This big dung guy must be Ssari. What is that small piece of sh.., never mind. Maybe it’s Ssari’s baby or whatever, ha.
Have you relieved your constipation? Happy poop’s day to you!

Abandoned Theme Park, Yongma Land!!
When I was younger, I was able to visit many small amusement parks. They were not very popular but I had memories of those since I really enjoyed them when my parents brought me there. Now many of them are gone and only those big and huge ones could survive such as Ever Land or Lotte World. But there is an abandoned theme park that still attracts visitors in the Jungnang-gu area, Seoul. This one invites the people to share its creaks. I was surprised to see that so many people wanted to do it so.
Yongma Land was built in 1980s and it had been running for many years but they had several remodeling constructions and had financial problems so they eventually had to shut it down. Now in the hands of a local businessman, the old Yongma Land is open again. Now it’s for photography and many of them visit here to take photos in this deserted but charming place. I was told that this place is popular even for a wedding studio. It must be very unique. This site has also been used in many Korean horror movies and filming music videos.
This is what it says, ‘Yongma Land’, the main gate.
As you can see, the whole place is deserted with all the facilities abandoned.
They all look like junks to me and it appears that delinquent teenagers painted the walls.
Look at that ghostly abandoned merry-go-round. But you know what? You can turn the lights on after 8 pm when you pay them 30,000 won. Look! It is beautiful.
Looks like the chopper has crashed down! Of course it’s not a real one.
I have no idea how to call this. Disco Round maybe? Look at those old paintings. I can recognize Michael Jackson and Madonna, ha.
It’s sad that the whole place is abandoned. But at least it's still living in the people’s memories and hope that it lasts for a long time.

Asia’s First Jurassic World Exhibition in Gimpo!!
I’ve always been into dinosaurs since I was very young and I used to memorize all the species of dinosaurs. I still do love them and I watched all series of Jurassic Park/World films and I have collected all of them. I used to dream about visiting a real Jurassic Park one day but I don’t know if I could live until that actually happens since I’m getting older, haha. But I could at least have a chance to visit the theme park with dinosaur exhibition that looks quite real.
This exhibition has been held at Lotte Mall Gimpo Airport Branch and it’ll be on display for a year in Korea and I was told that it’s been already held in many cities around the world but still it’s Asia’s first exhibition. There are seven large robot dinosaurs featuring technology to make it seem as if they’re actually moving. It’s probably meant to be for children but considering its quality and size of the models, it can be also recommend to adults like me, I guess.
You can see a huge lego raptor in front of the main gate.
The main gate looks pretty cool reminding me of those movies. You’re supposed to board the ship but don’t get me wrong. It’s not a real ship, ha.
Finally you get to the island of Jurassic World. They have a patrol to watch the island.
Look at that size of them. You can see the Triceratops and its baby. And that must be the Brachiosaurus, the biggest one.
You should be ready for the dangerous appearance. It’s T-Rex!!
When you get into the lab, you’ll see hatching eggs and some baby dinosaurs. You can also see some fossil samples and skulls.
Many scientists say that this one is the most beautiful dinosaur in the history. It is the Stegosaurus. And I totally agree with them.
Be careful. They’re very fast and the most dangerous species. It is the Velociraptor.
Are you into dinosaurs too? Here’s some more information about this place. Just go for it!!

Korea’s Typical Winter Activity, Ice-Fishing!!
There are many ice fishing festivals in Korea during the winter season. Unfortunately, many of them had to close them early this year because of the warm weather. It wasn’t cold enough to freeze the rivers this winter so many of them couldn’t last long for ice fishing festivals. I was told that the total number of visitors this winter was even less than the half of the last winter season. It is a shame since we’ve been influenced this much by global warming now and I’m afraid that it’s going to be worse in the future.
It is still an entertaining outdoor activity for the winter. Everyone can catch fish very easily and it’s delicious when you eat it right after fishing. Many people have hobbies of going fishing but I’m not very much into fishing, I like to eat raw fish and sushi though. For this winter activity, you have to be ready to embrace the cold on ice. You can enjoy some other exciting activities as well such as ice sledding and snow slides.
This reservoir is frozen during the winter so you can go onto the ice and make a hole for fishing on it.
Children can go for snow slides or ice sledding. This is what you can usually see when you go for ice fishing in Korea.
It’s a shame. The reservoir is not very frozen this winter. So you must not go onto the river unless you want to get drowned and freeze to death. The weather is too warm to freeze the river outside this winter.
So everyone is fishing at the fishing sites, not on the ice.
You can catch some smelts and you can put them in a bowl provided.
If you bring the fish you catch to their place, they can cook them for you. The smelts will be fried and the trout can be either ‘hoe (raw fish)’ or grilled. You can order some side foods as well for your appetizer.
Here’s some more information about this place if you’re interested in visiting here.

What a Beautiful Marine World! Lotte World Aquarium!!
It is such a famous landmark in Seoul and everyone in Korea knows about this place. It is called Lotte World and it is a huge complex mall located in the Songpa-gu area in Seoul. It is 123-story building with 555 meters in height. There are countless entertaining places and shops including this aquarium. If you love animals in the ocean, you should definitely visit this place. You will realize that this place is full of surprises.
I was told that they have over 650 species and 55,000 marine animals in there so it is literally a small beautiful world with living creatures. They have the largest seawater tank in Korea and the quality of its seawater is the highest level with life supporting system. It is amazing. You’ll see that it is amazing, beyond description.
This is the Lotte World Tower, the supertall skyscraper and it’s currently the tallest building in Korea. I heard that it’s the 6th tallest building in the world.
The aquarium is in B1 and they have their own aquarium program but they look like kids’ programs.
I thought it was a painting. They look so peaceful in there and beautiful.
Did you notice something from the first photo? It’s an alligator. He looks like he’s living in the jungle, ha.
They’re the notorious piranhas and they’re probably the scariest fish in the world. I know it’s fake but why do they have the skeleton in the water?
They have an aquarium tunnel so you can see so many marine animals while you walk in the tunnel. They provide very long moving line with the length of 840 meters.
You can feed the carp in your sight but you need to buy their food. It’s called Carp Bottle Feeding.
Oh, look at the otters’ family. They look so cute. Would they notice that we’re watching them?
They also have a robotic fish. So it can actually swim in the water!? Interesting!
I love them. I’ve always had dreams of Finding Nemo!
Nope! It’s not a scary movie!
