For Your Luxurious Lifestyle, HYUNDAI Department Store!!
There are several major department stores in Korea. Galleria, Lotte, Hyundai and Shinseage department stores. I can’t tell which one the Korean people would prefer the most but for me, I would choose Hyundai Department Store. That’s because it’s near my house and I feel most comfortable with Hyundai one.
This one is located right in front of the exit 4 of Cheonho station in Gangdong-gu, Seoul. And there is a huge underground parking lot. It is endlessly huge but it’s not only for the department store visitors, ha. This is a 13 story building and there are so many luxury stores each floor for fashion, Jewelry, shoes, suits and so on and you can see so many popular restaurants as well. But most of them are quite expensive as you know already.
This is a huge building standing in the middle of downtown so the traffic is quite busy. When it gets dark, the whole building looks very nice. I got one photo from the homepage.
There are so many luxury shops for almost everything on each floor.
Remember when I introduced Bibimbap the last time? When I want to eat Yuke Bibimbap, I’d visit this restaurant again. This one is really really good. It's on the 13th floor.
Below is some more information if you’re interested in visiting this department store.

The Most Beautiful Red, Wuhwajeong!!
It’s probably too late to post this blog because it’s already winter but do you like autumn colors? I got these photos from my colleague and it was amazing. It’s not even colorful but only red. But it’s strangely beautiful. It’s only a shame that I missed this beautiful scenery.
There’s a pavilion called Wuhwajeong in the Naejangsan mountain which is located in Jeongeup City, Jeollabuk-do and you can see this beautiful street when you get there. The view is just like a beautiful water color painting of the orient when the red leaves are reflected on the lakes. That what’s the sign says about the pavilion.
Do you believe me now? How’s that even possible that it’s only red? Isn’t it supposed to be yellow as well?
I can see that it was rainy there. But it must have been tasteful when you walked down the street under the rain.
Look at this bloody red under the sunlight. It is so beautiful.
What kind of tree is this?? Is that really a tree with red and pink leaves? It looks like a beautiful painting.
Please check the below for more information if you’re interested in this place.

Jokbal Must Be Introduced!!
I should’ve noticed earlier that Jokbal hasn’t been introduced yet. Jokbal is a Korean traditional dish cooked with pigs’ trotters and it’s a very common and popular dish in Korea. It’s like a street food but you better find famous restaurants for Jokbal or the quality of the meat would be really low.
Jokbal is generally served in large portions since it is a dish usually shared by several people. It is also such a great ‘anju(side dish)’ over drinking soju or beer in Korea. There are many good places for Jokbal but the one that I visit quite often is one of the top 3 places for Jokbal and it’s located in the Seongsu-dong area, Seoul.
This place is always busy with the line of people waiting for their turns so they usually pick up their Jokbal and go somewhere else like home or other bars.
This is usually what it looks like when it’s served. There is no special side dishes but a few vegetables and some sauces.
It looks like meat jelly. I don’t think I can describe its taste. It is beyond description.
Oh my mouth is watering already. This is so melting in your mouth. It is really yummy.
Please check the information below if you’re interested in visiting this place for Jokbal.

What a Peaceful life there! Happy Grassland!!
Have you dreamed about living in the country with vast grasslands and mountains? Because I have. It would be so peaceful, beautiful and quiet with clean air, your pets bouncing and so on and so on. I know it can be also boring since you’re already used to the modern life with full of technologies. But if you have a chance to experience this beautiful nature, would you still ignore it? Because I wouldn’t.
I got these pictures from my colleague and he strongly recommended me to visit this place. It’s located in Chuncheon city which is not very far from Seoul by car and it’s also very cheap. Once I saw these pictures, I made up my mind to visit this place one day soon.
Looks like it’s clearing your mind and soul already. It’s so green and beautiful.
This place is an experience center so you can experience some activities including feeding animals.
I must have loved the view to the houses from the top of the mountain. It must be so peaceful.
Surprise! This is a Korean cow. They’re very huge but cute(?).
I’m being jealous of their lives. They look so peaceful down there. You can feed and pet them.
Here’s some more information about this place if you’re interested.

Lotte Mall, Another Huge Multi-Complex Mall in Eunpyeong Seoul!
Lotte Corporation is one of the biggest companies in Korea and they have so many different affiliates. Hi-Mart, Lotte Mart, Lotte Cinema, Lotter World and so on, they’re all from Lotte Corporation. And you can see them all in one huge place which is called Lotte Mall.
I wouldn’t say that Lotte Mall is as big as Starfield but it’s still big enough to be called Multi-Complex mall. The one that I used love to visit is located in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul and there are only 4 Lotte Malls in Korea. Lotte Mall in Eunpyeong is 9 story building and you can see so many different shopping malls, entertaining places and restaurants each floor.
Lotte Mart is a very common and big hypermarket in Korea. It’s inside this Lotte Mall.
You can also see Lotte Cinema on the top floor. I used love to watch movies here as well.
I have introduced Hi-Mart before on my previous blog. You can see another Hi-Mart here. Are there any advantages? I don’t think so, ha.
This is called Lotte World Undersea Kingdom. I never went inside but I’ve been told that this place is really popular for kids. It’s probably from Lotte World.
As I said, I used to love to visit here but not anymore since I have moved to my current house. It is far but if I have a chance to pass it by then I’d love to be there again. That’s because of the restaurants. I really enjoyed the food at the restaurants there. I can definitely recommend you to visit this place for fun and your lifestyle.

Gulliver’s Travel in the Miniature World!!
I still remember when I visited this place and it was a very impressive experience. You can see various miniatures and most of them look amazing real. I would call this place a theme park featuring miniature versions of famous buildings from the world.
I suggest that you should visit this place during the night time after 5 pm, the ticket is a bit more expensive though. When it gets dark, they look much more beautiful under the lights. So it must be quite a romantic place if you have someone to bring. The Great Wall of China, Mount Kilimanjaro, Leaning Tower of Pisa, etc., you can see many realistic miniatures that you can recognize.
I can’t tell what this is but it must be famous somewhere. I love the way how it’s describing mountains in the back.
This one must be the Leaning Tower of Pisa from Italy. Does it look real to you?
This one looks very great because of its size and the architecture is from somewhere in Europe. It turned out it’s Sagrada Familia Church in Spain.
This one must be from Egypt. I guess that it’s the Great Pyramid, right?
Everyone would recognize this. Obviously it’s the White House.
I couldn’t tell what these are but have a look. They’re beautiful.
Please check the below for more information if you’re interested in this place.

Jeju Style Noodle, Jeju Gogi Noodle!!
This restaurant is located on the way to my wife’s parents’ house so we used to love to visit this restaurant on the way to her home before. We didn’t expect much but it was really good when we had what they served. Their main dishes are Gogi(meat) noodles and I was told that they were Jeju-do style. I haven’t had noodles in Jeju Island yet but if it’s Jeju style, I must have loved it.
Their menu is mostly quite expensive especially for the amount. That’s because they serve only Jeju style dishes and drinks. I would say that it’s not a typical Korean noodle but it’s very distinguished Korean traditional food. It is definitely different from I have had so far but differently good.
My choice was the Jeju Gogi Noodle, a soup version and I really loved it. It’s getting cold these days so I’d like to go visit again for its hot soup to feel warm inside.
It was definitely my preference, my favorite kind.
My wife’s choice was the Bibim Gogi Noodle, a hash noodle kind. I don’t know why but I guess that ladies in Korea prefer this kind.
I took some bites of it and it was quite good but I wouldn’t recommend it in the winter.
Please check the information below if you’re interested in visiting the restaurant that I visited for these noodles.

G-Star, The Global Game Exhibition!!
Most people love games. I mean, who doesn’t? You might not be interested because you’re too busy but I would say everyone loves games. Video games, PC games, mobile games, the game industry has been rising and developing all the time. And there is a very big annual game festival in Korea which is called G-Star.
Unfortunately, this Game Exhibition finished in November of this year. But they hold it every year around this time so you can try to visit there next year if you want. G-Star provides the attendees with the opportunity to explore the PC or Online Game Zone, Mobile Game Zone, Arcade Game Zone, Console Game Zone, Event Stage, etc.
Look at those people. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people visit this event!
You can see professional models with many different game costumes. No wonder they got so many guys there.
Many of the hardware companies displayed their high quality products. This laptop could run most of the newest games because of its high specifications.
These are the graphics cards which can make your PC run high-end games. This is the most important part for your PC to run your PC games.
Someone was playing one of the high-end online games in the booth and he had no problems to play it with Geforce GTX 10 Series graphics card equipped.
This event was originally held in Seoul Kintex but it was relocated to Busan since 2009. If it was in Seoul then I would have visited because I love games very much. I assume that many of you live in Busan so if you’re interested, go visit for yourself. It must be really fun out there.
Here’s some more information about this event. But just remember that it’s finished this year.

Mega Size Multi-Complex Mall ‘Starfield’ in Hanam!!
Eatopia, Shinsegae Department Store, E-Mart Traders, Electro Mart, Toy Kingdom, Molly’s Pet Shop, Hanssem, BMW/MINI, Aqua Field, Mega Box, YP Books and so on and so on. Are they familiar to you? And can you believe that you can see them all in one place? Many of you know that the list is for quite popular brands in Korea and they’re all gathered in a mega size hypermarket which is called ‘Starfield’ and this one is located in Hanam City.
Starfield Hanam is the size of 70 soccer fields according to them. Can you imagine? You can spend your whole day when you enjoy visiting this place. I was told that they’d prefer to be called a ‘Shopping Theme Park’ and I would say that it makes sense. It offers many fun rides for visitors to choose from and wonderful shopping experience. Inside the mall, you will find not only shopping spaces but also fun and unique areas to please you.
I got these shots from their homepage. Have a look and imagine how big this would be.
If you get inside, you’re going to see that it’s really huge. It seems like it takes forever to walk to the end.
I can’t swim so I don’t think I like this place but it is also very popular for most people.
I think I introduced this one earlier on my previous blog. Guys would love this place, right? You can see all the electronics in here. I always love to drop by this place even if I’m not buying anything.
I could see the Hyundai Car Exhibition as well with the latest model displayed. It was nice to see that.
It’s not all. You saw only a few of the places in the pictures. Like I said, it is a huge place for shopping and entertainment. Families, lovers, friends, everyone will love this place. There is only one problem. When you drive there on the weekend, you’ll see that it’s like hell. So you better not drive there on the weekend if possible. I’m planning to visit there again with my wife this weekend. But we’re taking the bus this time, haha.
Below is some more information if you’re interested in visiting this place.
